Allergies and skin sensitivity
- Fragrances can cause irritation, redness, headaches or allergic reactions, especially for people with sensitive skin, asthma, fragrance allergies or other conditions.
- Scenter does not list full ingredient or allergen information. Always check the label on the product and, if you are unsure, test a small amount on your skin first and stop if you notice any reaction.
- If you have a reaction, wash the area and speak to a doctor or pharmacist. In an emergency, call your local emergency number.
- Be extra careful if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or are giving fragrance to children or pets. Scenter does not give medical advice and is not a substitute for a professional.
Layering and mixing are your decision
Layering scores, bands (Great, Good, Okay, Avoid), “closest match”, “smells like” percentages, bridge suggestions and spray guidance are estimates based on published notes and accords and our own methods. They are opinions. Fragrance is personal: skin chemistry, concentration, the batch, the weather and your own taste change the result, and a pair we rate poorly may suit you. Test combinations on skin before you wear them for long or in a situation that matters.
- Do not mix fragrances directly in bottles or atomisers, and do not mix them with other products.
- Keep fragrance away from eyes, mouth and broken skin. It is flammable, so keep it away from flames and heat. Do not swallow it. Keep it out of reach of children.
Information may be wrong or out of date
Notes, accords, release years, perfumers, concentrations, prices and availability come from public sources and our own work. Brands reformulate, discontinue and rename products. Prices shown as $, $$, $$$ or $$$$ are rough guides, not offers. Where the app says a fragrance is “cheaper” or “similar” to another, that describes a likeness in notes. It does not say the products are the same, that one is a copy of the other, or that they last or perform alike.

Counterfeit fragrances exist and can be unsafe. Scenter does not sell fragrances. If you buy one, use an authorised retailer.
