Copyright and Trademark Policy
Our content
Scenter’s app, lessons, written descriptions, scoring methods, data compilation, design and code are owned by Ridwan Mohamed or its licensors and protected by copyright and other laws. You may not copy or reuse them except as the Terms of Use allow.
Brands and product names
All fragrance names, brand names, logos, bottle shapes and other marks shown in Scenter belong to their owners. We show them only to identify and discuss the products, in the way a review or reference guide would. Scenter is not affiliated with or endorsed by these owners, and our use does not suggest any partnership. “Smells like” and similarity features compare published scent notes and accords. They do not claim that any product is an imitation or a version of another.
Product images
Bottle pictures in Scenter are shown to help you recognise products. They are not supplied or approved by any brand, and they may differ from the real bottle, its packaging or its labelling. If you own a brand or other rights and want a picture changed, replaced or removed, tell us (see below) and we will act quickly.
Reporting a copyright or trademark concern
If you believe content in Scenter infringes your rights, send a notice to scenterapp@gmail.com with the subject “Copyright notice” containing:
- Your name, address, phone and email.
- A description of the work you say is infringed (and, for a trademark, your registration or rights).
- Where the content appears in Scenter (the fragrance name and the screen).
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorised by the owner, its agent or the law.
- A statement that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the owner or authorised to act for the owner.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
We handle notices as described in Canada’s notice-and-notice regime and, where it applies, the US Digital Millennium Copyright Act. We may remove the content, forward your notice to the person responsible, and end access for repeat infringers. If you believe content was removed by mistake, you may send a counter-notice to the same address.
